Emeril’s Essence

Again, this isn’t my recipe, it’s Emeril Lagasse’s (courtesy of Food Network), but I use it a lot and I wanted to make it easier to find (and make sure it sticks around), so here it is.  I keep this in my pantry in an air tight container and you should too.

Use These…
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons paprika
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme

Do This…

Mix all ingredients well (I use a whisk) and store in an air tight container.  As with all seasoning mixes, shake well before using.
