Poultry Seasoning


Trust me, if you want a good mixed seasoning, make it yourself.  It’s easy to do, fresher, tastes better, and usually costs less.

On that note, this is a great poultry seasoning recipe I use all the time.  I think it tastes better and fresher than anything you can get in your local grocery store, so try it and let me know what your think.

Use these
  • 1 cup dried parsley
  • 1/2 cup rubbed sage
  • 2 Tablespoons dried rosemary, crushed
  • 2 Tablespoons dried marjoram
  • 1/2 Tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

 

Do this

As with the Casa Cordova Spicy Meat Seasoning, you’ll need a good spice grinder.  I use the KitchenAid BCG111OB Blade Coffee Grinder, but you can use any grinder you prefer.

Combine all eight ingredients and mix very well.

Grind into a fine powder.  I pulse the grinder 10 times, take the cup out and shake it up, and then pulse it 10 more times to get the consistency I want.

Place in airtight glass jars (no plastic). Shake well before using.
