Buttery Corn on the Cob – Sous Vide


This one comes from the Anova Recipe Site. That’s the machine I bought when I decided try this wonderful new way of preparing food. As usual, I’m adding it here just to make sure I can always find it.  We’ve mad corn on the cob many different ways, from grilled with the husks on, grilled with the husks off, boiled, steamed, you name it, but this was absolutely wonderful, and incredibly easy.  Thanks Anova.

Use These…
  • 2 husked and cleaned ears of Corn
  • 3 Tbsp unsalted butter
  • Kosher salt to taste

 

Do This…

Fill and preheat your Sous Vide bath to 181.5F/83C.

Add the corn, butter slices, and salt to a vacuum sealer bag and seal it up.

Place the bag in the bath and let it sit for 30 minutes.  Pull the bag out, remove the corn, and then brush the butter from inside the bag all over that nice buttery cob.

That’s it!  Told ya it was easy.
